OLATHE, KS. -- A Johnson County judge's son was convicted Wednesday of aggravated assault and aggravated battery in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 31, 2018.

Court papers say Isaac Vano, 25, called 911 and said he had a trespasser at the point of a gun near 117th and Hardy in Overland Park.

Responding police officers found Addison Roberts, 27, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

Vano's bond was revoked in May, 2019 after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence against his wife, with whom he was reportedly going through a divorce.

Vano, the son of Judge James Vano, is scheduled for sentencing in January, 2020.
