A man is dead and a man and woman are hurt after a violent incident at the entrance to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Police received the initial report around 11:30 p.m. Monday of a shooting at 7th and Osage. A man and woman fled that area and drove to the hospital as a suspect followed them in another vehicle, police said.

The suspect chased the man and woman on foot as they ran toward the hospital's main entrance. The man and woman were inside the first set of hospital doors when the suspect fired shots at them. He then shot and killed himself, police said.
