Kansas City Police say they have arrested a person of interest in three Northland shootings, including the killing of a popular tattoo artist.

A Dodge Neon police had been looking for was found in a creek behind a home several miles from the sites of the shootings, between Belton and Grandview. Among the items found in the vehicle, a nine-millimeter handgun.

Tattoo artist Russell Fisk was found dead inside his crashed car around 8 p.m. Friday, near Barry Road and North Marsten. Two other people were shot and injured in separate incidents the same night, within a few miles to the north. One victim had life-threatening injuries, police said. The other person had non-life-threatening injuries.

Fisk was a well-known artist who did business out of his shop Black Card Tattoo Collective, at Zona Rosa.

Police have not named the person they took into custody. Formal charges were not immediately filed.
