Suspect in custody in KC Northland murder of tattoo artist, two other shootings

Kansas City, MO - A suspect is under arrest in three Northland shootings, including the killing of a popular tattoo artist.

A Dodge Neon police had been looking for was found in a creek behind a home several miles from the sites of the shootings, between Belton and Grandview. Among the items found in the vehicle, a nine-millimeter handgun.

Zona Rosa tattoo artist Russell Fisk was found dead inside his crashed car around 8 p.m. Friday, near Barry Road and North Marsten.

Two other people were shot and injured in separate incidents the same night, within a few miles to the north. One victim had life-threatening injuries, police said. The other person had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not named the person they took into custody.

Formal charges were not immediately filed.
