The man then attempted an unsuccessful car-jacking at a nearby Green Lantern Car Wash on Metcalf Avenue, but then was successful in stealing a Denali SUV at 148th and Metcalf.

The vehicle was found a short time later at the house of the owner of the Denali.

"It's weird," said OP PD officer John Lacy about carjacker in shooting driving stolen Denali to its owners' house. "He must have looked in the glove box or something." Don't know if he is inside the house. SWAT team there. Suspect considered still at large.
