An attorney with the Schlitterbahn park said that the company will begin to tear the slide down after Labor Day and that it should take about three weeks to finish the deconstruction.

Multiple charges have been brought against the park, the company's owner, and the designers of the ride including second degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Caleb Schwab in August of 2016.
